THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED. The Center for Career and Professional Development presents “Leading a Civically Engaged Life: Finding Your Voice, Making It Matter” with guest speaker Patricia Russo, executive director of the Women’s Campaign School at Yale University, on Tuesday, April 16, 4-6 p.m. in the Martire Theater (E-145), 5401 Park Avenue, Fairfield. During this special event for students, speaker Patricia Russo will explore ways in which young people can fine tune their passion for issues that are important to them. Often, young people have passion for an issue but they do not know what to do with it. A critical component to articulating this passion is by learning to speak publicly and deliver a cogent speech, as well as how best to present it professionally. This fun and interactive presentation will leave you feeling self-assured, confident and ready to tackle the world. To register, visit the events tab at sacredheart.joinhandshake.com.
